Samples of Watercolor/Batik.  The process is multi-stage and involves using melted wax as a resist to protect areas of the art work while adding more color to the image.  In the final stage wax is applied to the entire piece and cracks are created to allow the final coat of color.  When all the wax is removed the image will have the "batik" effect.  In these samples rice paper is the substrate.
